Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a three-pack exist between the two-pack and the five-pack?

Because office volumes do not arrive in only two sizes. The pair suits a light desk; the five-pack suits a department. Three cartridges — 9,000 rated pages at $131.08 — suit the steady middle: one fitted, two standing by, at $43.69 a cartridge, below the pair's per-unit price without shelving a case sized for a fleet. It is the pack for a machine that empties a cartridge every couple of months and an office that prefers its spares counted in seasons, not years.

What does the middle size do to the maths?

Three singles would total $168.06; the three-pack is $131.08, so $36.98 stays in the budget and the rated page falls to about 1.46 cents — between the two-pack's 1.56 and the five-pack's 1.37, exactly where a middle pack should land. Each cartridge keeps the full 3,000-page SCX-D4725A rating; the step in price buys the same toner in a quantity matched to a medium appetite rather than a discount for its own sake.

How long might three cartridges last an SCX-4725 in a small office?

At 400 printed, copied and faxed pages a month — a fair small-office figure once all three jobs are counted — the 9,000-page pool runs about twenty-two months. At 800 a month it is eleven. The useful habit is to count a month of everything that lands in the output tray, divide it into 9,000, and let the result set the reorder calendar; the three-pack's span is long enough that the calendar, not the warning light, should be doing the work.

Which machines does this pack fit?

It is titled for the SCX-4725, and the SCX-D4725A cartridges inside are also the listed supply for the Samsung SCX-4725ELS and SCX-4725F. A three-pack can therefore back a small mixed fleet as shared stock, or sit behind one machine — the code, not the title, decides where a cartridge can go, and the code is stamped on every spent unit you pull out.

How should the two spares be rotated?

First in, first out, in sealed boxes in a dry cupboard. Toner does not spoil on a schedule, so rotation here is bookkeeping: always fit the longest-waiting cartridge, and let the fitting of the last spare be the reorder trigger. With 3,000 pages then in the machine, the replacement pack has weeks to arrive from the nearest of our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses.

What warranty and returns come with the three-pack?

A one-year warranty against defects covering each cartridge, and free returns for a full year on the purchase — the terms are on the shipping and returns page and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. The middle pack carries the same per-cartridge protection as every other size in the family.
