Frequently Asked Questions

What does a typical small-office week ask of this cartridge in the ML-1865W?

A small office printing 200 pages a week asks for about an eighth of the cartridge: the MLT-D104S is rated at 1,500 pages, so that pace empties one in roughly seven to eight weeks. Lighter weeks stretch it; a week of report printing pulls the date in.

Does printing from several computers over Wi-Fi change how long the cartridge lasts?

No — the ML-1865W images a page the same way however the job arrives. Toner use is set by what is on the page, so five users sending light text use the fill more slowly than one user printing dense graphics. The network changes who prints, not how much each page costs.

How many pages will one cartridge realistically deliver in my ML-1865W?

Budget on the 1,500-page rating and you will not be far wrong: office text sits close to the coverage the rating assumes. Owners printing mostly one-line labels and short forms often exceed it; anyone printing full-page images should expect less.

Which cartridge number does the ML-1865W take?

The MLT-D104S — the code in this listing's name, and the code on the label of the cartridge you will pull out when this one is fitted. Matching those two strings is the whole of the compatibility check; the cartridge also serves a wide compact family listed under Samsung toner cartridges, including the ML-1660, ML-1665, ML-1675, ML-1860 and the SCX-3200, SCX-3205, SCX-3210 and SCX-3217.

What does this cartridge cost per printed page in the ML-1865W?

At $39.58 for a rated 1,500 pages, toner is about 2.64 cents a page. For a wireless desk printer in small-office service that keeps consumables predictable — and pack pricing exists for offices that want the figure nearer 1.65 cents.

What warranty and returns cover applies to this cartridge?

A warranty lasting one year and free returns for one year: a cartridge that leaks, streaks or fails early is returned at our expense, with the process on the shipping and returns page. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders leave from IL, PA, GA and CA.
