Frequently Asked Questions

The machine only holds one cartridge — why would I buy two at once?

Because the second one is your insurance policy. With 22,000 pages of combined coverage in the box, the spare sits on the shelf until the installed cartridge runs dry mid-job — then the swap takes a minute instead of a rush order and days of waiting. Buying the pair also drops your per-cartridge price to $27.02, saving $18.49 versus ordering two singles one at a time.

Can I split this 2-pack between two machines?

Yes. Each cartridge is individually sealed, so nothing forces both into the same copier. Many offices keep one Aficio 2020 or 2022 at the front desk and another in a back office, and a 2-pack lets each machine get a fresh cartridge — or one gets a cartridge now and the other gets the shelf spare. Either way, both machines draw from the same $54.03 purchase.

Which printers take these cartridges?

Both cartridges in this pack are Type 2120D units made for the Ricoh Aficio 2020 and 2022 line of monochrome copiers and multifunction devices. Check the type number on the cartridge you are replacing; if it reads 2120D, this pack matches your machine.

What does the per-page cost look like on the 2-pack?

At $27.02 per cartridge and roughly 11,000 pages each, you are printing at about 0.25¢ per page — a solid step down from the single cartridge's 0.33¢. Over the pack's full 22,000 pages, that difference is exactly the $18.49 you saved up front, realized page by page.

If one cartridge in the pack is faulty, do I have to return both?

No. A defective cartridge is handled on its own under our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns coverage; the good cartridge stays yours. The full policy is spelled out on our shipping & returns page, and support can walk you through it Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

Will the spare cartridge go bad sitting on the shelf?

Not under normal storage. Keep it sealed, flat, and away from heat and direct sun, and toner stays usable for a long stretch — it is a dry powder, not a liquid that evaporates. Our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and California ship fresh stock, so your spare starts its shelf life in good shape.
