Frequently Asked Questions

Who actually needs five cartridges at once?

Departments where the MP C4000 or MP C5000 is the workhorse — a shared floor machine, a print-heavy admin team, an office that treats toner like paper and buys it in planned batches. For a lightly used machine in a small office, five cartridges is more stock than you need, and a smaller pack or a single is the more honest buy. This set is sized for volume and for buyers who would rather reorder a few times a year than a few times a month.

What does this five-cartridge set cover?

Five toner cartridges spanning the black and color positions this machine family uses, so a busy printer can be kept fed across both document and color work. Yields are rated per cartridge class — black at up to 23,000 pages and each color at up to 17,000 pages — so judge the set by those class ratings rather than by a single combined figure, which would not reflect how the cartridges are actually consumed.

Is $339.48 in one order a sensible way to buy?

For the offices this set is aimed at, yes: it converts a stream of small, reactive orders into one planned purchase, with one delivery to receive and put away. The value is in continuity — the machine does not stop because a color ran out on a Friday — rather than in any headline discount. If your printing volume is modest, the same money buys a long time sitting on a shelf, and a set this size stops making sense.

Which printers is this set made for?

Every cartridge in the set is made for Ricoh Aficio MP C4000 and MP C5000. Check the model badge on your machine before ordering; cartridges from Ricoh's other series will not substitute for these, however similar they may look in a catalog photo.

How should five cartridges be stored and rotated?

Keep them sealed, flat, and at room temperature away from sunlight, and write the delivery date on each box when the set arrives. When a position runs low, install the oldest matching cartridge first — simple first-in, first-out rotation. Toner does not dry out like ink, so sealed stock keeps well; rotation discipline matters more than any special storage equipment.

What if one cartridge out of the five turns out to be faulty?

It is handled individually under the 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — you do not return the other four. Our shipping and returns page sets out the full terms, and the support team answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you want to talk a case through before sending anything back.
