Frequently Asked Questions

How many months does 22,500 pages actually cover in a normal office?

It depends on your monthly volume. At 1,000 black pages a month, one cartridge runs close to 22 months; at 2,500 pages a month, about nine months; a busy department printing 5,000 black pages a month will finish it in roughly four to five months. The 22,500-page rating is measured at standard 5% coverage, so dense contracts and full-page forms will use it up faster than memos and emails.

What does black printing really cost per page with this cartridge?

At $66.18 for up to 22,500 pages, the toner cost works out to about 0.29 cents per page. That is the figure that matters for a monochrome-heavy office: reports, invoices and correspondence are mostly black, so this cartridge carries most of your everyday output for well under a third of a cent in toner per page.

Which printers does this cartridge work in?

This high-yield black cartridge is made for Ricoh Aficio MP C3001 and MP C3501. Note that a standard-yield version also fits these same machines — this listing is the higher-capacity option, rated at 22,500 pages instead of the standard cartridge's smaller fill.

Will text stay sharp through the whole life of the cartridge?

Yes — a healthy cartridge lays down consistent, dark text from the first page to the last. If output turns gray or streaky near the end, that is the toner genuinely running low rather than a gradual fade built into the design. Replacing the cartridge restores full density immediately.

We print very little — is a high-yield cartridge still sensible?

It can be, as long as the sealed cartridge is stored flat, away from heat and direct sunlight, and the installed one is not left sitting for extreme stretches. Light users gain fewer cartridge swaps and the lowest per-page price in this family; heavy users gain the same per-page price plus far fewer interruptions. There is no penalty for buying capacity ahead of need.

What protection comes with this cartridge?

It is covered by a 1-year warranty, and compatible cartridges from Clever Supplies also carry 1-year free returns. The full terms are on our shipping & returns page. If a cartridge fails early, contact us Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and we will make it right.
