Frequently Asked Questions

The machine only holds one black cartridge — what is the second one for?

It is a shelf spare, and for a high-yield platform that is the point. Each cartridge is rated at up to 22,500 pages, so the installed one may run for many months — and when it finally empties, it will do so mid-job, on the busiest day. The second cartridge turns that moment into a quick swap instead of an urgent order and a stalled machine.

What does the two-pack save compared with buying singly?

Two single cartridges would cost $132.36; this pack is $113.87, a saving of $18.49, which brings the price down to $56.94 per cartridge. Across the pack's combined 45,000 pages of capacity, that lower per-cartridge price is where the value sits — same cartridges, bought together at a better unit rate.

Can the two cartridges go into two different machines?

Absolutely. Both cartridges are identical and interchangeable across the platform, so the pack can restock two machines at once just as easily as it can supply one machine twice. Nothing in the pack ties the pair together once the box is opened.

Which printers is this pack made for?

Both cartridges are the high-yield black unit for Ricoh Aficio MP C3001 and MP C3501. A standard-yield black cartridge also fits these machines; this pack is the larger 22,500-page fill, chosen when you want the longest interval between changes.

How should the spare be stored until it is needed?

Keep it sealed in its box, flat, in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. Stored that way, a toner cartridge waits patiently — there is no benefit to opening it early, and the seal keeps dust and moisture away from the unit until installation day.

If the second cartridge is never opened, can it go back?

Yes — compatible cartridges carry 1-year free returns alongside the 1-year warranty, and the conditions are spelled out on our shipping & returns page. That safety net is what makes stocking ahead low-risk. Our support team is available Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST if you need to arrange it.
