Frequently Asked Questions

Is a three-pack the right size for a small office, or is it overbuying?

For most small offices running one MP 501SPF, three cartridges is close to a year's supply. At 6,000 pages a month, the set's 75,000 rated pages last about twelve months; at half that volume, closer to two years. It is overbuying only if your printing is about to drop sharply — otherwise it simply removes toner from your to-do list for a long stretch.

How does the math work out per cartridge?

The three-pack is $74.93, which is $24.98 per cartridge against $37.31 for a single — a $37.00 saving across the set, and roughly 0.10 cents per page over 75,000 pages. Each step up in pack size trims the per-cartridge price, and the three-pack is where the discount starts to feel substantial without committing to a storeroom shelf of toner.

Which printer do these cartridges fit?

All three are the 407823 black toner cartridge for Ricoh MP 501SPF. The MP 501SPF prints black only, so the set is three identical cartridges to rotate through the machine in turn. Check the 407823 number on your current cartridge if you want certainty before ordering.

Can I split this set between two machines?

Yes — if your office runs more than one MP 501SPF, the cartridges are interchangeable across the platform, so deal them out however your volumes demand. Busy machine gets two, quiet one gets one. Nothing about the pack ties the cartridges together once the box is open.

Does buying a multi-pack change my warranty or return rights?

No. Every cartridge in the set carries the same one-year warranty, and returns stay free for a full year, including on cartridges you have not opened yet. If one cartridge in the middle of the set fails early, that cartridge is handled on its own — you do not have to return the whole pack. See our shipping and returns page for the full picture.

Any storage advice for keeping three cartridges on hand?

Keep them sealed, flat, and in a cool dry cabinet — not on top of the machine or near a radiator. Write the purchase month on each box and use them oldest-first. Orders ship from our IL, PA, GA, and CA warehouses, and support runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if anything comes up.
