Frequently Asked Questions

How long will 31,000 pages actually last on our MP C4502?

It depends entirely on your monthly volume. At roughly 3,000 black pages a month, one cartridge covers about ten months; a department pushing 8,000 pages a month will finish it in closer to four. The 31,000-page rating assumes around 5% page coverage, so heavy graphics or dense reports will trim that number somewhat.

What does this cartridge bring our cost per black page to?

At $78.28 for a rated 31,000 pages, the math works out to roughly a quarter of a cent per page — about $0.0025 — before paper and power. That is the real advantage of the high-yield 841751 family: the cartridge costs more up front than the standard-yield version, but each printed page costs noticeably less.

Which printers does this black cartridge work in?

This is the high-yield black cartridge for the Ricoh Aficio MP C4502 and MP C5502 family, and it fits both machines in that platform even though this listing names the C4502. One honest note: the same printers also accept a standard-yield cartridge family, so if you have ordered the smaller cartridges before, check which yield you actually want — this listing is the larger, longer-running one.

Our copies are coming out light and streaky — is it time to replace it?

Light, streaky output near the end of a cartridge's life usually means the toner is nearly gone, and on a high-yield cartridge that warning can arrive after many months of service. Remove the cartridge and rock it gently side to side a few times to redistribute the remaining toner; if the streaks return within a few hundred pages, the cartridge is genuinely finished.

What protection do we get if this cartridge fails early?

Every cartridge we sell is covered by a 1-year warranty, and this one also qualifies for 1-year free returns under our shipping and returns policy. If it leaks, streaks from day one, or dies well short of its rated life, contact us and we will make it right.

How fast will it get here if the machine is down?

We ship from four warehouses — IL, PA, GA and CA — so most orders reach US addresses quickly, and our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you need help choosing the right yield. You can browse the rest of the range on our Ricoh toner page.
