Frequently Asked Questions

Is a six-cartridge reserve a sensible buy for a single department?

For a department that prints every day, yes — six high-yield cartridges is roughly the point where toner stops being a recurring errand and becomes a stocked supply, like paper. It suits a shared machine with steady volume, or two machines on the same platform drawing from one cabinet.

How does the math on this set compare with the singles?

The set is $485.42, or $80.90 per cartridge. Against the family singles — $78.28 for black and $92.52 to $98.21 for the colors — the per-cartridge figure sits below every color single, so whichever colors your machine burns through fastest are the ones where the saving lands.

Which printers are the cartridges in this box for?

All six belong to the high-yield family for Ricoh Aficio MP C4502 and MP C5502, and they work across both models on that platform. Note that a standard-yield family also fits these machines; this box is high-yield only, which matters when you compare ratings — the cartridges here carry the larger page yields.

Can one box be split between two machines?

Yes. Both models on this platform draw from the same cartridge family, so a six-cartridge reserve can live in one cabinet and serve a pair of machines without any sorting by model. Just keep the boxes sealed until the moment a cartridge is actually installed.

How does coverage work across a box of six?

Cartridge by cartridge. Each one has its own 1-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year on each — a fault in one cartridge is a single-cartridge conversation, never a six-cartridge return. Our shipping and returns page walks through how a claim works, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

When should we reorder so the shelf never actually empties?

A practical rule: reorder when two cartridges remain. In this family the black cartridges are rated at up to 31,000 pages and the colors at up to 22,500 pages each, so two in reserve covers a long stretch of printing while the next order travels from one of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA.
