Frequently Asked Questions

Everything is running low at the same time — is a full four-cartridge set the right reset?

When all four gauges are near the bottom together, yes: one box restores the whole machine to full capacity in a single visit, instead of four separate interruptions over the next few weeks. This set carries one black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow from the high-yield family, so after the swap every color starts from a full cartridge at once.

What does the set save against buying the four singles?

The four cartridges bought separately — black at $78.28 and the three colors at $98.21, $98.21 and $92.52 — add up to $367.22. The set is $311.74, so you keep $55.48 and get a single delivery instead of four separate orders to track.

Which machines is this set made for?

All four cartridges are the high-yield family for Ricoh Aficio MP C4502 and MP C5502, and the set serves either model on that platform. Worth knowing: a standard-yield family also exists for these machines, and the two should not be mixed up when restocking — every cartridge in this box is the high-yield version.

The black is rated higher than the colors — will they run out together next time?

Probably not, and that is normal. The black cartridge is rated at up to 31,000 pages while each color is rated at up to 22,500 pages, so the colors will typically call for replacement first. When that happens you can replace just the color that is empty — buying this set once does not commit you to sets forever.

How are the cartridges in a set covered if one of them misbehaves?

Individually. Each cartridge in the box carries our 1-year warranty on its own, and returns stay free for a full year — if the yellow develops a fault in month eight, you deal with the yellow alone, not the whole set. The details are on our shipping and returns page.

How should the set be stored if we do not install all four the same week?

Keep the cartridges sealed in their boxes, flat, in a normal office environment away from direct sun and heat. Unopened toner stores well, so installing three now and holding one back a few weeks costs you nothing. Orders leave from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
