Frequently Asked Questions
Should I replace all three colors at once, or one at a time?
That depends on how your machine is used. Colors rarely empty on the same day — cyan often goes first in offices with blue-heavy documents. Replacing one at a time is perfectly fine, but when two or three colors are showing low together, changing the set at once means one interruption instead of three, and the colors age together so output stays balanced. This set gives you one each of cyan, magenta and yellow, each rated at 24,000 pages, so a full change resets the whole color side of the machine in a single visit.
What do I save by buying the three colors together?
The three singles for this printer add up to $235.91 bought separately. This set is $171.99 — $63.92 less for the same three cartridges, each still rated at 24,000 pages. Nothing about the cartridges changes in the set; the saving is simply the reward for buying the colors the way the machine actually consumes them, as a group rather than one emergency order at a time.
Is this set right for my printer?
This three-color set is made for the Ricoh SP C430DN, and it contains cyan, magenta and yellow only — one of each. The black cartridge for the SP C430DN is not in the box; it is sold separately and typically lasts on its own schedule. If your machine is a different Ricoh color model, compare the model name on the printer with this listing first, since the cartridges are not interchangeable across models.
How long will a full set of colors last us?
Each color is rated at 24,000 pages under the standard 5% coverage test, but the colors will not finish together — your document mix decides that. A set installed in a general office that prints color daily commonly lasts many months before the first color calls for replacement, and much longer in lighter use. Because all three start fresh at once, the machine's toner gauges give you a fair warning picture, and you can plan the next set around whichever color trends lowest.
What if one cartridge in the set has a problem?
Each cartridge stands on its own: if one color prints badly, you do not have to send back the whole set. Every cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, described on our shipping and returns page. Note which color is affected and what the pages look like, and support — available Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST — will sort out that cartridge while the other two keep working.
How is the set shipped, and how fast?
The three cartridges ship together from whichever of our warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — serves your address best. Buying the set ahead of need, rather than when a color has already stopped the printer, means the box is on your shelf when the machine asks, and the $63.92 saving over the singles is locked in at the same time.
