Cross-reference: Ricoh 841813, the black print cartridge for this platform (29,500 pages). It fits the Ricoh MP C3003 and MP C3503 — the same machines also sold under the Savin, Lanier and Gestetner brands with the same model names.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a 29,500-page rating actually last on a busy departmental machine?

It depends entirely on your monthly volume, but the math is simple: an MP C3003 or C3503 printing 3,000 black pages a month works through this cartridge in roughly ten months, while a workgroup pushing 6,000 pages a month will see about five months. That rating is measured at the standard 5% page coverage, so dense text pages and heavy graphics pull the real number down somewhat — treat 29,500 as the ceiling, not a promise.

Why is the black cartridge rated so much higher than the colors in this family?

Because Ricoh sized it that way. In the MP C3003/C3503 platform the black cartridge is rated at up to 29,500 pages while each color is rated at 18,000 — the opposite of what many offices expect. Black carries the everyday load of text, forms and copies, so you will typically replace colors more often than black on this machine, not the other way around.

What does this cartridge work out to per page?

At $79.94 against a 29,500-page rating, the rated cost lands near 0.27 cents per black page — among the cheapest per-page figures in this machine's whole toner set. Real-world coverage habits shift that number, but for text-driven departments the black side of this platform is genuinely inexpensive to run.

Which machines does this black cartridge belong to?

It is the 841813 black cartridge for the Ricoh Aficio MP C3003/C3503 color MFP platform: Aficio MP C3003, Aficio MP C3004, Aficio MP C3503 and Aficio MP C3504 The listing is titled for the C3003 family, but this is a platform cartridge — every machine in that list runs the same 841813 black, so it serves the whole family rather than one model name.

Do copies and scans draw from this cartridge too?

Copies do — every black-and-white copy the machine makes is printed from this same black cartridge, so copy volume counts against the yield just like prints. Scans and faxes sent digitally use no toner at all. Offices that use these machines as their main copier should fold that copy volume into their replacement planning.

What backing do I get if this cartridge disappoints?

It is covered by a one-year warranty, and returns on our compatible cartridges are free for a full year — if print quality lets you down, we make it right rather than leaving you to argue with a box. The complete terms are on our shipping & returns page, and our team is reachable Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
