Frequently Asked Questions

What does a black-and-white page from this machine actually cost us?

Work it from the rating: this cartridge is $79.94 and rated at up to 29,500 pages, which lands at about 0.27 cents of black toner per page. That is a genuinely useful number for budgeting, because for ordinary text documents — the standard 5% coverage the rating assumes — real-world results tend to stay in that neighborhood rather than drifting far from it.

How does the black page cost compare with a color page on the same machine?

Black is the bargain of this platform. The color cartridges are rated at 18,000 pages each and priced higher than the black, so a color page — which may draw on several cartridges at once — costs several times what a black page does. Departments that route routine work to black-and-white and reserve color for documents that earn it see the difference plainly in their supply spend.

How is a figure like 29,500 pages measured, and should we trust it?

It comes from the industry-standard yield method: continuous printing of test pages at 5% coverage until the cartridge is spent. Real offices print a mix — a dense contract page spends more, a short memo spends less — so your number lands above or below depending on habits. Used as a comparison and planning figure rather than a guaranteed count, it is the honest yardstick everyone in this market shares.

Does this cartridge serve the whole C3003/C3503 platform?

It does — the 841813 is the shared black cartridge of the Ricoh Aficio MP C3003/C3503 color MFP platform: Aficio MP C3003, Aficio MP C3004, Aficio MP C3503 and Aficio MP C3504 The listing title names the C3003 family, but any machine on that platform list takes this same cartridge, which is why mixed fleets can standardize on one black toner.

For a cost-conscious office, is one cartridge at a time the smartest way to buy?

It is the lowest-commitment way, and for a single lightly used machine it is perfectly sensible. But the same cartridge costs $70.70 each in the two-pack and $65.15 each in the five-pack, so offices with steady volume leave real money on the table buying singles forever. The right size follows your monthly page count, not a rule — match the pack to the pace.

What assurance comes with this cartridge if the numbers do not hold up in practice?

A one-year warranty stands behind it, and returns on our compatible cartridges are free for a full year, with the details set out on our shipping & returns page. Stock ships from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — sits closest to you, and our support team works Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
