Cross-reference: Cyan Ricoh 841816, Magenta 841815 and Yellow 841814 (18,000 pages each). These cartridges fit the Ricoh MP C3003 and MP C3503 — the same machines also sold under the Savin, Lanier and Gestetner brands with the same model names.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our black cartridge still shows plenty of life — why does a colors-only set even exist?

Because in this family the arithmetic pushes that way. The black cartridge is rated at 29,500 pages while each color is rated at 18,000, so a machine doing steady color work commonly needs its colors refreshed while the black still has thousands of pages in it. The 3 Color Set exists for exactly that moment — it replaces cyan, magenta and yellow together and leaves a healthy black alone.

What does the set save over buying the three colors separately?

Bought one at a time, the three color cartridges are $81.74 each — $245.22 in total. As a set they're $208.24, a saving of $36.98, and nothing about the cartridges changes: same ratings, same platform, just one box and one order.

Do the three colors actually wear out at the same rate?

Not perfectly — yellow is often consumed faster because it hides inside greens and warm tones, while a charts-and-logos office may lean hardest on cyan. The set is still the sensible unit more often than not: by the time one color is empty, the other two are usually deep into their life, and changing all three restores a matched color balance instead of marrying one fresh cartridge to two tired ones.

When would this set be the wrong purchase?

Two cases, honestly. If only one color is low and the other two are nearly full, buy the single — a set would strand two fresh cartridges' worth of value in aging slots. And if your black is also close to empty, the four-color set is the better economics. This set is for the common middle case: colors collectively tired, black still working.

Is this set locked to the one model in the title?

No. The cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges in this set are Ricoh Aficio MP C3003/C3503 platform cartridges; the listing is titled for a single model, but the set serves the entire platform family. It works with: Aficio MP C3003, Aficio MP C3004, Aficio MP C3503 and Aficio MP C3504

What if a cartridge from the set needs to go back?

Sets get the same treatment as singles: a one-year warranty on every cartridge and free returns for a full year, all spelled out on our shipping & returns page. Orders are fulfilled from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses.
