Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of printing volume justifies ordering five at once?
Five cartridges is 41,500 rated pages of black. That makes sense for a print-heavy department, a small fleet of MP C300/C400 machines drawing from one supply shelf, or an office that orders supplies on a quarterly or semiannual cycle. If one cartridge lasts you most of a year, be honest with yourself and buy the single or the two-pack instead.
What is the real saving on the five-pack?
At $152.24, each cartridge costs $30.45 — the lowest per-cartridge price in this family — and you save $73.96 versus five single purchases at $45.24 each. The per-page cost for black output falls to roughly 0.37 cents. Nothing about the cartridge differs from the single; the entire difference is the bulk discount.
Will these fit all of our machines, or just the one in the listing title?
How do I store five cartridges without them taking over the office?
Each cartridge is individually boxed and sealed, and the five stack neatly in a supply cabinet or closet shelf. Keep them at room temperature, out of direct sunlight and away from heaters. Rotate stock oldest-first and the last cartridge you open will print exactly like the first.
Our machines also go through color — does this pack help there?
Only on the black side. This pack is five black cartridges, and black is the fastest-moving supply in this family (rated 8,300 pages against 10,000 for each color) because it prints the text on every page. Cyan, magenta and yellow for the same machines are sold separately, and most high-volume offices stock black deeper than colors for exactly that reason.
If I buy five and one fails, am I stuck with it?
No. Every cartridge carries a one-year warranty and returns are free for one year, as set out on our shipping and returns page. Whether it is the first cartridge out of the box or the fifth, a genuine failure is replaced or refunded — just contact support, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
