Frequently Asked Questions

Why buy two black cartridges at once for a machine that only holds one?

Because the day a shared office MFP runs out of black, every print, copy and fax job stops with it. Keeping one sealed cartridge on the shelf turns a mid-deadline outage into a two-minute swap. The second cartridge is not excess — it is the insurance that keeps the machine from ever sitting idle waiting on a delivery.

How much do I actually save versus buying two singles?

Two single cartridges would cost $90.48. This two-pack is $71.99, so you save $18.49 and the per-cartridge price drops to $36.00, with 16,600 rated black pages between the pair. It is the same 841295 cartridge in both boxes — the discount comes purely from buying the pair together.

Is this the right cartridge for my machine?

Yes, if your machine belongs to the Ricoh Aficio MP C300/C400 family — Lanier LD130C, Lanier LD130CSR, Lanier LD140C, Lanier LD140CSR, Lanier MP C401, Lanier MP C401SR, Savin C230, Savin C230SR, Savin C240, Savin C240SR, Savin MP C401, Savin MP C401SR, Aficio MP C300, Aficio MP C300SR, Aficio MP C400, Aficio MP C400SR and Aficio MP C401. Each product page is titled for one model, but the 841295 is a shared platform cartridge across that whole family, so the pair you receive is identical whichever family listing you ordered from.

Will the second cartridge dry out or go bad sitting on the shelf?

No. Toner is a dry powder, not a liquid ink, so a sealed cartridge does not dry out the way inkjet cartridges can. Stored sealed in a normal office environment, the spare keeps for a long shelf life and prints at full quality when you finally install it. Just keep it out of direct heat and sunlight.

Can I split this pair between two different machines?

Absolutely — the two cartridges are individually boxed and identical. Many offices put one in each of two MP C300/C400 family machines, or install one and shelve the other as the shared spare. Either way, treat installing your last cartridge as the signal to place the next order.

What if one of the cartridges turns out to be faulty?

Both cartridges carry the same protection as everything we sell: a one-year warranty and free returns for one year, detailed on our shipping and returns page. If a cartridge underperforms at any point in that window, reach out and we will replace it or refund you.
