Frequently Asked Questions

Why do prints look cold when the yellow cartridge fades?

Yellow warms the whole palette. When it weakens, greens lose freshness, highlights turn hard and blue, and color pages can look sharper but less natural. This yellow cartridge is rated for 6,500 pages and costs $67.00, about 1.03¢ per page at the rated yield, so it sits on the pricier side for this platform and is best bought with that in mind.

Is the higher page cost a reason to avoid it?

Not automatically. If the SP C252DN is the right printer for the desk or small team using it, replacing the one weak color can still be the sensible move. The measured view is this: the cartridge is not a low-cost page bargain, but it avoids disturbing a working printer setup just because yellow has run down.

Which printer is this yellow cartridge for?

It is for Ricoh SP C252DN. Confirm the exact model before ordering, especially in offices where an SP C250DN and an SP C252DN may sit in different rooms.

Can yellow be replaced on its own?

Yes. This listing is for one yellow cartridge only. Cyan and magenta can stay in the printer if their output still looks correct, and black is sold separately. Replacing the single weak color is the cleanest approach when the color fault is clearly on the warm side of the palette.

How do I get the most from a cartridge at about 1.03¢ per page?

Save full color for pages where color carries information: charts, covers, customer documents and marked-up drafts. Internal text pages rarely need it. Also avoid pulling a cartridge at the first low notice if the output is still acceptable; use the remaining life while planning the replacement so a deadline job is not caught short.

What support and returns come with it?

The cartridge includes a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, described in the shipping and returns policy. Clever Supplies support runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and orders are handled through warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA.

About This Ricoh SP C252DN Yellow Toner Cartridge

This yellow cartridge serves the Ricoh SP C252DN when color output has turned cold or flat because the warm component is fading. Its 6,500-page rating and $67.00 price make it a considered purchase rather than an impulse spare: right for keeping a known printer productive, less about chasing the lowest page cost. It sits within Clever Supplies' Ricoh toner cartridges for offices that replace color supplies individually as each one wears out.
