Frequently Asked Questions

When does replacing all four colors at once actually make sense?

Colors rarely empty on the same day, so a full set is not about synchronized running-out. It makes sense when the machine is heading into a stretch of important color work — a run of proposals, presentations or client documents — and you want every color fresh at the start rather than one tired cartridge letting the output down halfway through. It is also the tidy option when a printer is being set up or handed to a new team and you want a known starting point for all four colors.

Exactly what is in the box?

Four cartridges: one black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow. Every cartridge in the set is rated at 6,500 pages. The set costs $172.14, which averages out to $43.04 per cartridge across the four.

Which printer is this set made for?

The set is built for Ricoh SP C252DN. All four cartridges are the standard units for that platform; if your machine is a near-neighbor model in the same series, confirm the cartridge code in the printer before ordering, as the codes are not interchangeable across the whole range.

Only my yellow is empty — can I install just that one?

Yes. Nothing requires the four to go in together. Load the color that has run out and put the other three back on the shelf, still sealed, until their turn comes. Each cartridge is independent, and the printer neither knows nor cares that they arrived in the same box.

What if one cartridge in the set has a problem?

Coverage is per cartridge, not per box. A cartridge that arrives damaged or produces banding and faded color is covered by our 1-year warranty on its own, and the other three keep their full coverage either way. Returns are free for a full year as well — the complete terms are on our shipping and returns page.

We print mostly black — is a full set a waste for us?

If your color cartridges last a year or more, buying all four at once ties up money in colors you will not touch for a long while, and singles are the better rhythm. This set earns its place in offices where color output is regular and visible — the kind of printing where a weak color is noticed by the person receiving the document.
