Frequently Asked Questions

How does magenta show up in everyday SP C252DN printing?

Magenta is the color behind reds, warm highlights and natural-looking skin tones. When it runs low, presentations can still print, but the color balance feels off: reds soften, faces look less lifelike and warm charts lose separation. This single magenta cartridge is rated for 6,500 pages and costs $51.34, about 0.79¢ per page at the rated yield.

Can I swap just this color in the middle of a set?

Yes. The SP C252DN uses individual color cartridges, so magenta can be replaced when magenta is the problem. There is no need to remove cyan or yellow cartridges that are still printing cleanly, and black is a separate supply sold on its own listing.

Which printer models take this cartridge?

This cartridge is made for Ricoh SP C252DN. If your office has the closely related SP C250DN as well, do not assume the supplies interchange; check the exact model on the machine before you order.

What should I check before deciding the cartridge is empty?

Print a page with a strong red or pink element and compare it with the screen or an older good print. If only the warm side of the image is weak, magenta is the likely suspect. If every color is pale, look beyond a single cartridge before spending money on one color.

Is this a good cartridge to keep as a spare?

For an office that prints color regularly, yes: magenta is often the color that interrupts a job because warm graphics use it heavily. Keep the spare sealed and store it away from heat. For very occasional color printing, buying when the warning appears may be enough; the right choice depends on whether a paused color job is a minor delay or a real problem.

What warranty and return cover applies?

This cartridge is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. The shipping and returns policy explains the process. If you want a person to check the model before ordering, Clever Supplies support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.
