Frequently Asked Questions

The printer only holds one black cartridge at a time — why buy two at once?

Because the second one is not for the printer, it is for the shelf. A cartridge always seems to finish mid-job, mid-week and mid-deadline, and a sealed spare on the shelf turns that into a two-minute swap instead of a day or two of waiting on a delivery. Offices that cannot pause printing — invoicing, shipping labels, client paperwork — treat the spare as insurance rather than inventory.

What does the second cartridge actually save?

The pair costs $97.38, which is $48.69 per cartridge against $57.94 for a single — $18.50 saved across the two. Between them they carry 13,000 pages of black printing, so one order covers a long stretch before you need to think about toner again.

Which printers take these cartridges?

Both cartridges in this pack are made for Ricoh SP C252DN. They are standard cartridges for that platform, so either one can go into any machine of that model you run — the pack does not have to stay married to a single printer.

How should I store the spare cartridge?

Keep it sealed in its packaging, stored flat at normal room temperature away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Sealed toner cartridges keep well for a long time; the working habit that matters is rotation — when the installed cartridge runs out, load the shelf spare and reorder then, so the oldest stock is always the one in the machine.

What if one of the two cartridges turns out to be faulty?

Each cartridge is covered individually by our 1-year warranty, so a problem with one does not drag the other into it. A cartridge that arrives damaged or prints badly is handled on its own under the warranty, and a spare you end up never opening can still go back under our 1-year free returns. The details live on our shipping and returns page.

Can I split the pack between two printers or two offices?

Yes. Nothing about the pack ties the cartridges together — put one in the machine upstairs and the spare in a second location, or run one in each of two printers and reorder when the first one empties. Splitting changes nothing about the warranty coverage on either cartridge.
