Frequently Asked Questions

The C2500 prints fast — does that mean this black cartridge runs out sooner?

On the calendar, yes. The cartridge is rated at 16,500 pages and that page count does not shrink, but the C2500 moves paper quickly, so a busy office can work through those pages in noticeably less time than on the slower C2000. If your team prints a few hundred pages a day, expect weeks rather than months from one cartridge.

What does a page actually cost with this cartridge?

At $64.03 for a rated 16,500 pages, black text works out to roughly 0.39 cents per page at the standard 5% coverage the rating is based on. Dense pages — full reports, manuals, heavy letterheads — use more toner per sheet, so your real cost per page will land a bit higher.

How will I know the cartridge is nearly empty?

Text starts to look gray instead of deep black, and the machine reports a low-toner warning before output actually fails. On a fast printer that warning can turn into an empty cartridge quickly, so it is worth ordering the replacement the day the warning appears rather than waiting for faded pages.

Is this cartridge made only for the C2500 named in the listing?

No — the listing is titled for one model, but this 842307 black cartridge serves the whole Ricoh IM C2000 and IM C2500 color MFP platform, and the C2500 and its C2000 sibling take the exact same cartridge. The model name in the title is just how the listing is organized, not a limit on where the cartridge works.

What happens if the cartridge arrives damaged or misbehaves in my machine?

Every cartridge we sell is covered for a full year, and returns are free for a year as well, so a defective unit costs you nothing to send back. You can read the full terms on our shipping and returns page before you order.

How fast will my order get here?

Orders ship from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — is closest to you, which keeps transit times short for most addresses. If anything about delivery is unclear, our support team answers Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 Central.
