Frequently Asked Questions
Is a three-pack roughly a year's supply of black toner for this machine?
For a busy department, yes. Three cartridges are rated for up to 70,500 black pages in total, so a workgroup printing around 5,000 to 6,000 black pages a month lands close to a year of supply. A single machine at 2,000 pages a month would stretch the same pack to nearly three years — in that case the two-pack is the more sensible buy, and we would rather tell you that than oversell you.
How does the pricing step down at three cartridges?
The pack is $344.93 against $381.93 for three singles, a saving of $37.00. Per cartridge you pay $114.98 instead of $127.31, which works out to roughly 0.49 cents per rated black page — the savings grow with pack size, but so does the money sitting on your shelf, which is why the volume question above matters.
Can I split the three cartridges across more than one printer?
Yes. Nothing ties the pack to a single machine — offices commonly put one cartridge in each of two SP C830DN units and hold the third as the shared spare. Just date the box when it arrives and use the cartridges in the order you bought them, so stock rotates sensibly.
Which printers are these cartridges made for?
All three cartridges are made for Ricoh Aficio SP C830DN. This pack is black only — the machine's color cartridges are separate supplies and are not included here. Each cartridge loads into the black slot the same way the cartridge you are replacing did.
What if our print volume drops after I buy three?
Sealed cartridges keep well, so a slowdown mainly means the pack lasts longer than planned. And if a cartridge genuinely fails, each one carries our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns individually, so one bad unit does not strand the other two. Terms are spelled out on our shipping and returns page.
Where does the order ship from, and how do I reach you?
We ship from four warehouses — IL, PA, GA and CA — using whichever puts the pack on your dock soonest. Questions about fit, an order, or a return go to our support team, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
