Frequently Asked Questions

Who actually goes through five cartridges — is this sized for a department?

Yes, this pack is aimed at shared workgroup printers and small fleets. Five cartridges total up to 32,000 pages. A department printing 3,000 pages a month works through the pack in roughly ten to eleven months; a busier unit at 5,000 pages a month, in about six.

How does the pricing break down?

The five-pack is $157.80, or $31.56 per cartridge. Five singles would run $231.80, so the pack saves $73.99 and brings the per-cartridge price down by almost $15 compared with the single.

Will these cartridges work in our printer?

They are the 406989 cartridge specified for the Ricoh Aficio SP 3500DN. If your department runs several of these machines, one pack can supply the whole group, since every cartridge fits every unit the same way.

How do we keep track of stock so we reorder in time?

A simple rule works: when the second-to-last cartridge goes into a printer, place the next order. With shipments leaving from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, a few business days of lead time is all you need — the last cartridge covers the gap comfortably.

Are all five cartridges covered the same way?

Yes — each one carries our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns individually, so a problem with one cartridge never complicates the rest of the pack. The return process is spelled out on our shipping and returns page.

Any tips for storing five cartridges at once?

Keep them sealed, flat and in a cool, dry cabinet away from sunlight. Use them in the order you received them — first in, first out — so no cartridge sits on the shelf longer than it should.
