It can be, and we would rather say so plainly. Five cartridges are 25,000 rated pages. If your BP20 prints a few hundred pages a month, that is years of stock — more than makes sense unless the price step-down matters more to you than the shelf space. But if the machine is a small fleet's shared workhorse printing a few thousand pages a month, five cartridges is simply a sensible purchasing cycle with fewer orders to process.
What does the per-cartridge price drop to in this pack?
The five-pack is $246.57, which works out to $49.31 per cartridge against the $64.10 single price — $73.93 saved across the pack. Spread over 25,000 pages, the per-page cost falls to just under a cent, around 0.99 cents. That is as low as this cartridge's math gets short of the ten-pack, and it comes from volume, not from a different or lesser cartridge.
Which printer do these five cartridges serve?
All five are the 402455 black cartridge for the Ricoh Aficio BP20 monochrome laser printer. It is a black-only machine, and 402455 is the cartridge it takes — five identical, individually sealed units in one box. If the number on the cartridge you are replacing reads 402455, any one of these drops straight in.
We run several BP20s — can one pack feed the whole group?
Yes, and that is one of the pack's best uses. Because each cartridge is sealed separately, a five-pack can be treated as a small central stock: pull one whenever any BP20 in the building runs dry. Centralizing the purchase this way captures the volume price while keeping every machine's replacement on the same shelf.
What is the smart way to work through five cartridges?
Use them oldest first and keep the rest sealed, flat, and out of sunlight in a cool, dry cabinet. A small habit helps: jot the purchase date on the outer box so rotation is obvious to whoever grabs the next cartridge. Installed in order and stored properly, the last cartridge of the five performs like the first.
What protection comes with a purchase this size?
The same as with a single: a one-year warranty on every cartridge and free returns for a full year, with any faulty cartridge handled on its own — no returning the whole pack over one bad unit. The policy is spelled out on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from our IL, PA, GA, and CA warehouses, and support answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
