Frequently Asked Questions
For a machine that uses toner this slowly, what's the right reorder habit?
The one-in, one-waiting rule: keep the second cartridge on the shelf, and the day it goes into the machine, place the next order. On a 1515 that can mean a reorder only once a year or less, but the rule guarantees the copier never sits empty while a shipment crosses the country. Slow use is exactly when people forget toner entirely — the spare is the reminder.
How does the 2-pack price break down?
$39.12 for two cartridges is $19.56 each. Against two singles at $28.81 apiece ($57.62), the pair saves $18.50, and it puts 14,000 rated pages of printing and copying in the cabinet. The saving is real, but the continuity is the bigger prize for most offices.
Will these cartridges fit machines besides the Aficio 1515?
Fourteen thousand pages on a 1515 — how many years is that?
At a light 300 pages a month, close to four years; at 800 a month, about a year and a half. Be honest with your own volume: if your 1515 truly prints a few pages a week, a single cartridge is the right purchase and this pack is shelf stock you don't need. The 2-pack earns its place in steady-use offices.
How do I store the second cartridge for what might be a long wait?
Sealed, flat, cool, and dry — a supply cabinet away from sunlight and heat is ideal. Toner is dry powder, so a stored cartridge doesn't dry out; keeping its seal intact and its box out of damp places is what matters. When the first cartridge empties, install the stored one and let your next order become the new spare.
What's the return situation if our plans change?
Returns are free for a full year, and each cartridge carries a one-year warranty — full details on our shipping & returns page. So if the 1515 is retired or replaced inside that year, an unopened cartridge isn't money stranded on a shelf.
