Frequently Asked Questions

Our department cannot stop mid-job — what does keeping a second cartridge on the shelf actually change?

It turns a toner outage from a multi-day wait for a delivery into a two-minute swap. When the installed cartridge finally fades, the spare goes straight in and the machine stays in service; the empty slot in your supply cabinet, not a dead printer, becomes your reminder to order again.

How does the two-pack math work out?

The pack is $130.59 for two cartridges — $65.30 each instead of $74.54 bought singly, a saving of $18.49 across the pair. Together they are rated for 40,000 pages, which brings black output down to about 0.33 cents per page.

We run an MP C2800 in one department and an MP C3300 in another — can one pack cover both?

Yes, and that is one of the pack's most practical uses. Both cartridges in the box are the identical 888636 black, made for the shared platform — Ricoh Aficio MP C2800 and MP C3300 — so you can install one in each machine, or hold the second wherever the need is greatest.

How should the spare cartridge be stored while it waits?

Keep it sealed in its box, lying flat, in a cool, dry spot out of direct sunlight. Stored that way, a compatible cartridge waits patiently for months; only open the packaging when you are ready to install it.

When is the right moment to order the next pack?

The cleanest rhythm is to reorder when the second cartridge goes into the machine. At that point you have a full 20,000-page cartridge in service and no spare, which leaves comfortable time for the next pack to arrive from whichever of our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses is closest.

Is each cartridge in the pack covered on its own?

Yes. Coverage follows the individual cartridge, not the box: each one carries our one-year warranty and can be returned free within a year if it disappoints. The details are on our shipping and returns page, and the support team answers Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.
