Frequently Asked Questions
Is an eight-cartridge set overkill, or does someone genuinely print this much?
For a single lightly used machine, it is more toner than you need soon. For a busy department, a small fleet of these machines, or a purchasing cycle that runs annually, eight cartridges is a rational stock: the machine family is built for sustained volume, and bulk stock removes per-order overhead. Judge it against your last year of toner orders rather than this month's.
What does the per-cartridge cost work out to?
The set is $501.89 for eight cartridges — about $62.74 each on average, blending the black and color units. That average sits below typical single-cartridge pricing on this platform, which is where the bulk saving shows up. For budgeting, it gives you a stable per-cartridge figure for the whole stocking period.
Does this set work across our machines?
Yes, provided they are on the same platform: the cartridges are the standard family for Ricoh Aficio MP C4502 and MP C5502, listed under the black cartridge code 841647. Any model on that platform draws from the same pool, so the set can be shared across a fleet. Machines from other Ricoh families use different codes and are not covered by this set.
How are the page yields structured across the eight cartridges?
Black units on this platform carry a 28,000-page rating and each color an 18,000-page rating. Rather than promise a combined total — which would depend entirely on your black-to-color mix — the set is best understood as multiple full rounds of toner for the machine, with the colors cycling faster than the black in most offices.
How do we manage a stock this size without losing track?
Simple rotation works: store cartridges flat, sealed, cool and dry; write the arrival date on each box; and always install the oldest stock first. When the shelf count falls to a set reorder point you choose — many offices use two cartridges — place the next order with delivery time to spare. Nothing in the set needs special handling beyond that.
What happens if one cartridge in eight turns out defective?
It is replaced on its own under our one-year warranty, and returns are free for a year — start from our shipping and returns page. The remaining seven cartridges are unaffected and stay in service. Support is reachable Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders ship from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses.
