Frequently Asked Questions
Who is a five-cartridge set actually for?
Offices that print steadily in both black and color and would rather restock in planned orders than emergency ones. Five cartridges cover a full refresh of the machine plus a spare of the color your work drains fastest, so a cartridge running dry midweek stops being a rush order. Lighter users may find a smaller set plus singles fits their pace better.
How do the yields work across a set like this?
Every black cartridge in the platform is rated at 28,000 pages and every color cartridge at 18,000 pages, and the set mixes the two classes — five cartridges in total. We do not quote a single combined page count because it would mislead: your black pages and color pages draw down different cartridges. What the set guarantees is full slots plus backup, however your document mix splits.
Will these cartridges fit our Ricoh?
The set is assembled from the standard cartridges for Ricoh Aficio MP C4502 and MP C5502, listed by the family's black cartridge code, 841647. All models on that platform share this cartridge family, so the same set serves any of them. If your machine is from another Ricoh family, match the cartridge codes on your current units before ordering.
How should we store the cartridges we are not installing right away?
Keep them sealed in their bags, flat, in a cool dry cabinet away from sunlight and heat sources. Sealed toner keeps well for an extended period, so a rotation of install-now and hold-as-spare works without waste. Marking the purchase date on the box helps you use older stock first.
What does the set cost per cartridge?
At $297.21 for five cartridges, the average is about $59.44 each — below the price of most of the platform's singles bought one at a time. The average blends the lower-cost black with the colors, so treat it as a budgeting figure rather than a per-color price. It is a sensible figure to compare against your last five individual orders.
What if one of the five cartridges is faulty out of the box?
That cartridge alone is replaced under our one-year warranty, and returns stay free for a year after purchase — details are on our shipping and returns page. You keep the other four and carry on printing. Orders ship from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses, and support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
