Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is inside this four-cartridge set?
One cartridge of each color the machine uses: a black rated at 28,000 pages, plus cyan, magenta and yellow rated at 18,000 pages each. It is a complete refresh in a single box — everything the printer needs to be fully stocked again. Nothing is doubled up; for spares on the shelf you would add singles or a multi-cartridge set.
How much does the set save versus buying the four cartridges separately?
The four singles total $315.66 bought individually; this set is $260.20, a saving of $55.46. You get the identical cartridges — the discount comes purely from bundling them into one order and one shipment. For an office restocking all four slots anyway, the set is simply the cheaper way to buy the same toner.
Does this set fit our machine?
The set is built for Ricoh Aficio MP C4502 and MP C5502 — every cartridge in the box is that platform's standard unit, and the listing names the family by its black cartridge code, 841647. Both models on the platform draw from the same cartridge family, so either machine takes this exact set. If your machine belongs to a different Ricoh family, individual cartridge codes will not match — check before ordering.
Do all four cartridges need to go in at the same time?
No. Install whichever color has actually run out and keep the rest sealed on the shelf until their turn comes. Each cartridge is independent, and the sealed spares store well in a cool, dry spot. Most offices install one or two immediately and hold the others as the next replacements.
Will the four cartridges run out together afterwards?
Almost certainly not. Black is rated for 28,000 pages against 18,000 for each color, and real consumption varies by document mix — heavy text printing drains black first, while photo-heavy work pulls the colors down faster. Expect staggered replacements, which is normal for this platform and not a sign of a problem.
How does coverage work if one cartridge in the set turns out faulty?
Each cartridge is individually covered by our one-year warranty, and returns are free for a year — see our shipping and returns page for the steps. A faulty unit is replaced on its own; you do not send back the whole set. Orders ship from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses.
