Frequently Asked Questions

What do I get in this 2-pack?

Two 44844512 black toner cartridges, each rated at 10,000 pages, for $85.97 total. One goes into the printer now and the second waits on the shelf, so the next low-toner warning is a two-minute swap instead of a rush order. Between the pair you have roughly 20,000 pages of black printing on hand.

How does the math compare with buying singles?

A single 44844512 costs $52.23, so two bought separately come to $104.46. This pack is $85.97 — about $42.99 per cartridge, saving roughly $18.49 — and the cost per page drops from about 0.52 cents to about 0.43 cents. Same cartridge, same rating, just bought in a pair.

Will the spare cartridge go stale sitting on a shelf?

Not in any timeframe that matters for normal office stock rotation. Kept sealed, in its packaging, away from heat and direct sunlight, a 44844512 holds up fine while it waits its turn. Offices that print steadily usually work through the second cartridge within months, well inside any storage concern.

Which printers do these two cartridges serve?

The 44844512 is listed for the Oki C831dn named in this listing, along with the C831, C831n, MC873dn and MC873dnc. If your office runs more than one of those models, the same spare covers all of them — one cartridge type to stock instead of several.

Is this an original Oki product?

No, these are compatible cartridges built to the 44844512 specification and sold by Clever Supplies. They are made to fit and print in the listed printers like the originals do. Our full range for this printer family is on the Okidata brand page.

What protection covers the pack, and how fast does it ship?

Both cartridges carry our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — the terms are spelled out on the shipping and returns page. Orders ship from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses, and if you want a hand confirming this is your cartridge, support runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
