Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a 5-pack of black cartridges actually for?

Offices where the C830dn or C830dtn never really stops — shared departmental printers, dispatch and invoicing desks, anywhere a toner-out stoppage costs more than the toner. Five 44059112 cartridges on the shelf means the printer is never the reason work waits.

What does the per-cartridge price fall to in this pack?

The pack is $150.27 for five cartridges, which is about $30.05 each. Against the $44.85 single price, five bought separately would be $224.25, so the pack saves $73.98 — close to the price of a cartridge and two-thirds.

How far does 40,000 pages of toner go?

Each 44059112 is rated up to 8,000 pages, so five give up to 40,000 pages in total, at roughly 0.38 cents per rated page. A department printing 3,000 pages a month would be covered for well over a year on this one order.

Should I rotate the cartridges or use them in any order?

They are identical cartridges, so any order works; using the oldest box first is simply tidy stock-keeping. Each stays sealed until the moment it goes into the printer, so the fifth cartridge is as fresh as the first.

Are these genuine Oki cartridges?

No — they are compatible cartridges produced to the 44059112 specification. All five are covered by a one-year warranty and one-year free returns; the policy details are on the shipping & returns page.

Can I talk to someone before ordering in this quantity?

Yes — support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Orders ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and smaller pack sizes and the matching colors are all listed on the Okidata brand page.
