Frequently Asked Questions

What does one of these cartridges actually give my C712dn?

One black cartridge, rated at up to 11,000 pages. The 46507604 is the black cartridge for the Oki C712dn, sold here as a single at $68.40 — that works out to roughly 0.62 cents per page at the rated yield, before any real-world coverage differences on your own documents.

Why is it identified by the number 46507604?

Because the number is the safest way to reorder. Printer names get mistyped and model suffixes multiply, but 46507604 picks out exactly one cartridge: black, high capacity, for the C712dn. If the cartridge coming out of your machine carries that number, this is its replacement.

Our black runs out long before the colors — is that normal?

Yes. Most office printing is text, and text is black toner. On a C712dn doing reports, invoices and correspondence, the black cartridge cycling faster than the colors is the expected pattern — which is why the 46507604 is sold on its own instead of only inside a full set.

How close to 11,000 pages will I really get?

The rating assumes standard test coverage. Dense pages, heavy graphics and lots of short stop-start jobs pull the real count down; long steady runs of plain documents get you closer. Treat 11,000 as the yardstick for comparing cartridges, not a promise for every workload.

Is this a genuine Oki cartridge?

No — it is a compatible cartridge built to the 46507604 specification, not an Oki-branded part. It is covered by a one-year warranty and one-year free returns; the terms are set out on the shipping & returns page.

Where does my order ship from, and who do I call with a question?

Orders leave from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA. Support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the rest of the Oki range lives on the Okidata brand page.
