Frequently Asked Questions

Why are there two cartridges in this box instead of one?

Continuity. One 46507604 goes into the C712dn now, the second waits on the shelf — so the next low-toner warning is a two-minute swap instead of a wait for a delivery. For a printer a whole team depends on, that spare is the difference between a pause and a stoppage.

What does the 2 pack do to the price?

The pair costs $118.32, which is $59.16 per cartridge — $18.48 less than buying two singles at $68.40 each. Across the pair's combined 22,000 rated pages, the cost per page drops from about 0.62 cents to roughly 0.54 cents.

Will the spare cartridge go stale sitting on the shelf?

Kept sealed, in its packaging, away from heat and direct sunlight, a toner cartridge stores well for a long shelf period. The 46507604 you shelve today is the same cartridge you will fit months from now; just rotate stock so the older box is used first.

Can I fit both cartridges at once?

No — the C712dn takes one black cartridge at a time. The second cartridge in this pack is a spare, not a second slot. Fit one, store the other, and reorder the pack when the spare goes into the machine.

Is this genuine Oki toner?

No. These are compatible cartridges made to the 46507604 specification rather than Oki-branded stock. Each one is backed by a one-year warranty with one-year free returns — details are on the shipping & returns page.

How fast does support answer if something looks wrong?

Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA. The wider Oki catalogue is gathered on the Okidata brand page.

About This 2 Pack (46507604)

Two black 46507604 cartridges for the Oki C712dn — one for the machine, one for the shelf — at $118.32 for the pair. Each cartridge is rated up to 11,000 pages, so the box holds up to 22,000 pages of black printing. It is the pack size for offices that cannot afford to discover an empty cartridge at deadline time, and it trims $18.48 off the cost of two singles.
