Frequently Asked Questions

My office prints a red logo on everything — how fast will that use up magenta?

Faster than the page rating might suggest if the logo is large, because a bold red block is printed almost entirely from the magenta cartridge. The 44315302 is rated at 6,000 pages on standard coverage; a big red logo on every letter and invoice raises your real coverage well above that benchmark, so expect a shorter — but still economical — life.

Is the cartridge in this listing the 44315302?

It is. This page is titled for the C610cdn because that is how many buyers search, but the cartridge itself is Okidata part 44315302, the magenta member of the Type C15 family, priced at $40.55. If the cartridge you removed says 44315302, this is its replacement regardless of which title you found it under.

Can I swap the magenta cartridge in the middle of a print run?

Yes. The C610cdn pauses when a cartridge is removed and resumes once the new one is seated, so a mid-job change is routine. Pull the old 44315302 straight out, drop the new one in the magenta position until it clicks, and the printer carries on — no settings to redo.

What does this cartridge cost me per page?

With a 6,000-page rating at $40.55, the math lands near 0.68 cents per page for the magenta contribution to your documents. Offices comparing supply budgets usually find that compatible color toner at under a cent a page is where the C610 series becomes cheap to run day to day.

Will it work in the C610dn and C610dtn as well as the C610cdn?

Yes — all three C610 variants share the same Type C15 toner set. A spare 44315302 bought for one machine will serve any of the three, which simplifies stocking if your office has more than one variant on the floor.

Who do I contact if the color still looks wrong after installing it?

Our support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST and can walk through the printer's color settings with you. If the cartridge itself is at fault, the one-year warranty and one year of free returns in our shipping & returns policy apply, and orders ship from IL, PA, GA and CA.
