Frequently Asked Questions

What does "Type C15" mean in this cartridge's name?

Type C15 is the family name Oki uses for this cartridge generation — the ordering number underneath it is 44315304, and that is the number to match when you reorder. This listing is the black member of the family: a single compatible cartridge rated at 8,000 pages, priced at $45.89. If a supplier quote or an old invoice says "Type C15 black," this is the cartridge it means.

Which printers take this black cartridge?

It is made for three closely related Oki color printers: the C610cdn, the C610dn and the C610dtn. All three draw from the same cartridge bay for black, so one 44315304 serves any of them. The color positions in those machines take their own separate cartridges — this listing is black only.

How far does one cartridge realistically go?

The rating is 8,000 pages, measured the way the industry measures all such ratings — on standard test pages with modest coverage. An office printing dense reports, dark logos or full-page graphics will see fewer pages; a text-and-email office can land close to the rating. At $45.89 the rated cost works out to roughly 0.57 cents per page before paper.

Is a single cartridge the right way to buy it?

For one printer with moderate volume, yes — a single cartridge keeps cash in the business instead of on a shelf, and 8,000 pages is a long runway for a small workgroup. Heavier users can step up to the multi-packs of the same 44315304 listed on this site, where the per-cartridge price steps down; nothing about the cartridge itself changes, only the quantity in the box.

Is this an original Oki cartridge?

No — it is a compatible cartridge built to the 44315304 specification and sold under our own label, which is why it costs what it does. It is covered by our one-year warranty and one-year free returns rather than the printer maker's program, and full terms are on our shipping & returns page.

How fast will it reach me, and who do I call with a question?

Orders ship from whichever of our warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — can get it to you soonest. Questions before or after ordering go to our support team Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central; the wider Oki range we stock is browsable from the Okidata brand page.

About This Type C15 Black Cartridge

Some cartridges are easiest to find by their family name, and Type C15 is one of them — purchasing departments, old invoices and printer-room labels all tend to say "C15" long after the numeric code is forgotten. This listing answers both naming habits at once: it is the black Type C15 cartridge, number 44315304, a single compatible unit rated at 8,000 pages for the C610cdn, C610dn and C610dtn, at $45.89. Buy it when one printer needs black now and the stock cupboard can stay lean; the same number also anchors the multi-pack listings for offices that burn through black faster than the colors.
