Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this complete set cost less than three of its own cartridges bought one at a time?

Because set pricing works differently from single pricing. The cyan 46508703 alone is $36.44 and the magenta 46508702 and yellow 46508701 are $36.81 each, so the three colors on their own add up to $110.06. This box holds those three plus the black 46508704 for $91.40 — less than the colors alone, with the black effectively coming along inside the difference. If your printer will eventually need all four, the set is simply the cheaper way to buy them.

What mix of printing is the yield rated for?

The black cartridge in this family is rated at 3,500 pages and each color cartridge at 3,000 pages, both at standard coverage. A document-heavy office printing mostly text with occasional color will land near those numbers; presentation decks and full-page graphics pull the color figures down faster than the black one.

Do all four cartridges have to go in together?

No, and most people never install them that way. Each cartridge is sealed on its own, so you can fit the one that has run dry and keep the rest boxed. In practice the black tends to empty first in a text-heavy office, while a color position may sit in the cupboard for months.

Which printers does this set serve?

It is the set for the Okidata C332DN and the MC363DN multifunction machine. Both draw on the same four part numbers — 46508704 for black, 46508703 for cyan, 46508702 for magenta and 46508701 for yellow — so one set covers either machine. The full range sits in our Okidata collection.

What does each cartridge in the set work out to?

Dividing $91.40 across the four cartridges gives about $22.85 apiece, against $36.44 to $36.81 when the colors are bought singly. These are compatible cartridges rather than genuine Oki stock, which is where most of that gap comes from.

What cover comes with the set?

Every cartridge in the box carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with the terms set out on our shipping and returns page. Orders leave whichever of our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses is best placed, and help is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
