Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly arrives when I order this B431d cartridge?

One compatible black cartridge — the 44574901 — rated at 10,000 pages and priced at $29.05. This listing is named for the B431d, but the cartridge itself is the standard 44574901 unit, the same one listed under the part number elsewhere in our catalogue.

Does the B431d take a special cartridge of its own?

No. The B431d shares the 44574901 with the MB461 MFP, MB471 and MB471W, which is why this model-named listing and the part-number listing are the same product at the same $29.05 price.

How far does 10,000 pages go in a small office?

At a typical 500 pages a week, one cartridge is roughly twenty weeks of printing — around 0.29 cents per page. Most B431d owners reorder two or three times a year at that pace.

My B431d says toner is low but pages still look fine — swap now?

The low warning is an estimate, not a cliff edge. Keep printing while output stays dark and even; when pages genuinely fade, that is the moment the 44574901 is done. A spare on hand means no downtime in between.

Is this an OEM cartridge?

It is a compatible cartridge built to the 44574901 specification, not an original Okidata unit. Our full range for the machine is gathered on the Okidata brand page.

What if the cartridge gives me trouble?

It is backed by a one-year warranty with free returns for a year — the policy is spelled out on the shipping and returns page. Support answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This B431d Cartridge (44574901)
