Frequently Asked Questions

Why buy two cartridges instead of one?

The 2-pack follows the oldest rule in office supplies: one in the printer, one on the shelf. When the installed 44574701 runs out mid-job on your B411D, the spare is already in the building — no stalled work, no rush order. With 4,000 pages per cartridge, the pair covers 8,000 pages, enough runway that reordering becomes a calm, planned task instead of an emergency.

How does the 2-pack math break down?

The pair is $38.40, which is $19.20 per cartridge. Two singles bought separately at $28.45 would total $56.90, so the 2-pack saves $18.50. Per page, the pair works out to roughly 0.48 cents against 0.71 cents at the single rate — the first step down the pack ladder, and a meaningful one if you print steadily.

How long will a sealed spare keep on the shelf?

A sealed toner cartridge stores well for a long time in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep the spare in its packaging until the day you install it, store it flat, and rotate stock so the older cartridge goes in first. There is no benefit to opening a cartridge early — the seal is what protects it.

When should I reorder after opening the spare?

The moment the shelf spare goes into the printer is your reorder signal. At that point you have a full 4,000-page cartridge installed and zero backup, so ordering the next 2-pack then gives shipping time a comfortable margin. Waiting until prints fade to order is how offices end up paying for expedited delivery.

Does this pair fit anything besides the B411D?

Yes — every cartridge in the pair is an Okidata 44574701, the same cartridge used by the Oki B411dn and B431d and by the MB461 MFP, MB471, and MB471W. If a second machine in the office takes the 44574701, your shelf spare quietly covers that printer too.

What if one of the two cartridges disappoints?

Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, detailed on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from the closest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, or California warehouses, and our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
