Frequently Asked Questions

• What is in this set of 4?

The box holds: F6T80AN (3,500 pages), L0R86AN (3,000 pages), L0R89AN (3,000 pages), L0R92AN (3,000 pages). Each cartridge is individually sealed.

• Which printers does this set fit?

The set fits PageWide 352dw, PageWide 377dw, PageWide Pro 452dn, PageWide Pro 452dw and 5 more. The complete verified list is in the Compatible Printers section on this page.

• 972A, 972X or 976Y — what is the difference?

All three fit the same PageWide slots; the letter is the yield tier. 972A is the standard tier, 972X roughly triples it, and 976Y is the extra-high tier sold for the PageWide Pro 500 series and the Managed P55250dw/P57750dw. Each product page lists exactly the models its tier is rated for.

• Do all the cartridges have chips?

Yes. Every cartridge in the set carries a new compatible chip that reports its own ink level to the printer.

• Is the set better value than singles?

Yes — the set is priced below the same cartridges bought one by one, and one box restocks every slot at once. Check the per-cartridge yields above against your usage.

• Can I install just one cartridge from the set?

Yes. Open and install only the colour the printer asks for, and keep the rest sealed — they store fine for when their turn comes.

• My printer shows a warning after installing — what do I do?

Acknowledge the message, reseat the cartridge until it clicks and restart the printer. Most warnings are a one-time notice that a non-original cartridge was fitted.

• Is this an original HP set?

No. It is a Clever Supplies compatible set built to the original HP specifications and covered by our lifetime warranty. It is not manufactured by HP.

• Can I mix tiers — a 976Y black with 972A colours?

Yes. Each slot reads its own cartridge, so tiers can be mixed freely across the four slots.

• What if one cartridge in the set is faulty?

Contact us with the colour and the problem — the lifetime warranty covers each cartridge in the set individually, so a single faulty cartridge is replaced on its own.

• Which cartridge in the set runs out first?

It depends on what you print: text-heavy use drains the black first, photo and graphics work drains the colours. Each cartridge reports its own level, and the spares from this set store sealed until their slot asks for them.

• How should I store the unopened cartridges?

Sealed, upright and at room temperature, away from sunlight. Install each cartridge only when the printer asks for that colour.
