Frequently Asked Questions

• What is in this set of 4?

The box holds: T6M14AN (750 pages), T6M02AN (750 pages), T6M06AN (750 pages), T6M10AN (750 pages). Each cartridge is individually sealed.

• Which printers does this set fit?

The set fits OfficeJet 6951, OfficeJet 6954, OfficeJet 6958, OfficeJet 6962 and 6 more. The complete verified list is in the Compatible Printers section on this page.

• What is the HP 906XL, and does my printer take it?

The 906XL is an extra-high-yield black (about 1,500 pages) listed only for certain OfficeJet Pro 6970-series models. If your model is on its list, the 906XL black is the cheapest-per-page black in this family.

• Does every cartridge in the set carry a chip?

Yes. Every cartridge in the set carries a new compatible chip that reports its own ink level to the printer.

• Does the set work out cheaper than buying singles?

Yes — the set is priced below the same cartridges bought one by one, and one box restocks every slot at once. Check the per-cartridge yields above against your usage.

• Do I have to install the whole set at once?

Yes. Open and install only the colour the printer asks for, and keep the rest sealed — they store fine for when their turn comes.

• The printer is showing a warning after I installed it — what now?

Acknowledge the message, reseat the cartridge until it clicks and restart the printer. Most warnings are a one-time notice that a non-original cartridge was fitted. This family runs HP dynamic security: the printer checks the cartridge chip, and HP firmware updates can change what is accepted. Our cartridges carry a new compatible chip built for these models; if a future HP firmware update ever blocks a cartridge, the lifetime warranty covers you — contact us and we will put it right.

• Is this a genuine HP set?

No. It is a Clever Supplies compatible set built to the original HP specifications and covered by our lifetime warranty. It is not manufactured by HP.

• 902 or 902XL — which fits my printer?

Both. Every printer in this family accepts the standard 902 and the high-yield 902XL in the same slots; the XL simply carries more ink.

• What happens if a single cartridge from the set fails?

Contact us with the colour and the problem — the lifetime warranty covers each cartridge in the set individually, so a single faulty cartridge is replaced on its own.

• Which cartridge in the set runs out first?

It depends on what you print: text-heavy use drains the black first, photo and graphics work drains the colours. Each cartridge reports its own level, and the spares from this set store sealed until their slot asks for them.

• How do I keep the rest of the set until I need them?

Sealed, upright and at room temperature, away from sunlight. Install each cartridge only when the printer asks for that colour.
