Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly do I get in this two-pack?

Two separate black cartridges, each one a complete W1340A unit in its own sealed packaging, and each rated at 1,150 pages. It is not one oversized cartridge — the pair simply means the second HP 134A is already on your shelf the day the first one runs out.

Can the pair be split between two printers?

Yes, as long as both machines take the same supply. The 134A fits printers such as the LaserJet M209dw and the M234dw, so one cartridge can go into the desk printer and its twin into the multifunction down the hall. Each unit works entirely on its own.

How should the second cartridge be stored meanwhile?

Leave it sealed in its bag, lying flat in a drawer or cupboard at normal room temperature, away from direct sunlight and radiators. Toner is a dry powder, so nothing dries out or goes stale while it waits — an unopened cartridge keeps for a long time without losing print quality.

The first cartridge just faded in the middle of a job. What now?

Rock the old cartridge gently side to side a few times and try again; redistributing the powder often finishes the job. If the fade returns straight away, swap in the second cartridge from the pack — that moment is also the natural trigger to order the next pair.

Does a shelf spare lose any of its page yield?

No. The 1,150-page rating counts pages that actually pass through the printer, and a sealed cartridge sitting in a drawer is not using any of them. Fit it months later and it starts from the same full capacity as the day it arrived.

What protection comes with the pack?

Both cartridges carry a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with the full wording on our shipping and returns page. Orders are dispatched from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This HP 134A Black Toner Cartridge 2-Pack

This compatible HP 134A (W1340A) two-pack belongs to the HP toner cartridges range at Clever Supplies and is priced at $57.90. It suits a small office that runs one or two compact LaserJets and would rather hold a spare than stop mid-job to order — one cartridge working, one waiting, no drama when the low warning appears.

The full fit list is short: this cartridge serves the LaserJet M209dw, the LaserJet M234dw and the LaserJet M234sdw, and nothing outside those three. If you print heavily, the same fit is also listed as the high-yield 134X (W1340X) two-pack at 2,400 pages per cartridge. A 134A (W1340A) single cartridge is listed as well for one-off replacements.
