Frequently Asked Questions

What is inside the Set of 9?

Nine cartridges: 3 x T222XL120-S Black (XL), 2 x T222220-S Cyan, 2 x T222320-S Magenta, 2 x T222420-S Yellow (standard colours).

Why three blacks?

Because black empties first on this platform — documents dominate XP-5200 and WF-2960 workloads, and the XL black is also the family's longest-running cartridge. The ratio follows the usage, not a marketing shape.

What are the yields?

Per cartridge: XL black up to 550 pages; each standard colour up to 185 (ISO/IEC 24711). We never publish a summed set total.

How much does the bulk box save?

The same nine cartridges as singles total $121.41; the Set of 9 is $103.41 — the LD ladder's bulk discount, passed through under our standard pricing rule.

Which printers does the bulk set fit?

Expression Home XP-5200 and WorkForce WF-2960 only. Not the WF-2950 — that is the 232 family, despite the one-digit name difference.

Are all nine cartridges XL?

No — and no honest 222 set can be. XL exists only for black in this family; the six colour cartridges are standard capacity, exactly as Epson's own table defines them.

What about chips across nine cartridges?

Each carries a new compatible chip. This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur; any cartridge that will not recognise after troubleshooting is replaced under the lifetime warranty.

How should nine cartridges be stored?

Sealed, upright, room temperature, out of sunlight, opened one at a time as slots empty. Never peel the tape early.

Is this a genuine Epson product?

No — the Clever Supplies compatible bulk set, built to the 222 specifications and labelled compatible on the box and this page.

If one of the nine fails?

It is replaced individually under the lifetime warranty. The other eight are unaffected.

Set of 9 or Set of 4?

The Set of 4 suits occasional printing. The Set of 9 suits a printer that works weekly: fewer reorders, the deepest stock where it empties fastest, and the lowest per-cartridge price in the family.

Returns terms?

Free returns within the first year, with the lifetime warranty standing behind every cartridge in the box.
