WF-2960
Ink for the WorkForce WF-2960 is the Epson 222 family — four individual Claria cartridges: a high-capacity black (T222XL120) up to 550 pages and standard colours up to 185 pages each. Below are Clever Supplies compatible singles and sets in exactly that configuration, chipped and backed by a lifetime warranty. Note the badge: the WF-2950 is a different family.

WF-2960 Ink Cartridges — 222, Not 232
Epson's records put the WF-2960 on the 222 platform: four individual Claria cartridges — standard colours T222220 / T222320 / T222420 at up to 185 pages each, and the family's one XL, the T222XL120 black at up to 550 pages (ISO/IEC 24711). Our shelf follows the compatible ladder for the family: the XL black single, the three standard colour singles, the Set of 4 in Epson's own pack shape, and the Set of 9 bulk box. There is no standard black single in the ladder; the XL black is the stocked black.
This page exists because of one digit. The WF-2960 is a 222 printer; the WF-2950 — sold in the same years, wearing a nearly identical name — is a 232 printer, and the two families interchange in neither direction. Read the badge on the machine itself before ordering: WF-2960 means this page, WF-2950 means the other one, and the cartridges are not interchangeable consolation prizes.
Which 222 should you buy?
- Black ran out: the 222XL black ($19.49) is the black to buy — 550 pages, and there is no standard black single in this family's compatible ladder.
- One colour ran out: replace just that colour — cyan, magenta and yellow singles are $10.49 each, at up to 185 pages.
- Full refresh: the Set of 4 ($47.21) pairs the XL black with the three standard colours — Epson's own pack shape for this family.
- Print every week: the Set of 9 ($103.41) stocks three XL blacks and two of each colour.
Chip, ink and everyday use
Every cartridge carries a new compatible chip, so the WF-2960 reads its ink levels normally; the ink is Claria in all four positions. One honest caution, documented on this family: firmware updates have left compatible cartridges unrecognised on this platform before now. If a warning follows an update, reseat the cartridge and restart before judging it faulty — and every cartridge here carries our lifetime warranty, with free returns for the first year. Keep spares sealed in their bags until install day.
