Yellow is the cartridge nobody watches — until a print comes out with green grass turned blue and faces gone pale, because every color on the page was quietly leaning on it. This is the Moderate tier's yellow: the T124420-S, DURABrite Ultra pigment ink rated up to 175 pages (ISO/IEC 24711), new compatible chip, for Epson's eleven 124 models — Stylus NX125, NX127, NX130, NX230, NX330, NX420, NX430 and WorkForce 320, 323, 325, 435.
Its rating is the family pattern: yellow matches cyan (T124220-S) and magenta (T124320-S) at about 175 pages, just under the black (T124120-S) at 190. In practice yellow often runs out ahead of its rating on photo and graphics work because it underlies so many mixed colors — which is why this cartridge is sold as a single, and why one sealed spare on the shelf is the cheapest insurance this platform offers.
Compatibility, once more, is a list and not a vibe: the NX530, NX625 and WorkForce 520 take no 124 cartridge of any color, and the NX330/NX430/435 on this list take no 125. The eleven models below are Epson's roster. Covered by our lifetime warranty, with free returns for the first year.

What is this cartridge's yield?
Up to 175 pages (ISO/IEC 24711) — the same individual rating as the 124 cyan and magenta, per Epson's published figures for the family.
Why did my colors go wrong before the printer warned me about yellow?
Yellow underlies most mixed colors, so its fading shows up as wrong colors (blue-leaning greens, pale skin) before it shows as missing ink. A nozzle check pattern tells you which color is actually low.
Which printers use it?
Stylus NX125, NX127, NX130, NX230, NX330, NX420, NX430 and WorkForce 320, 323, 325, 435 — the eleven models on Epson's 124 list.
Is the ink dye or pigment?
Pigment. The whole 124/125 platform is DURABrite Ultra pigment in all four positions — instant-dry, water-resistant document ink.
My printer is an NX625 — will this fit?
No. The NX625 takes 125 Standard and 127 Extra High only. The NX530 and WorkForce 520 are also 125-branch models. This 124 yellow fits none of them.
Can I mix this with 125 cartridges?
On core models (NX125–NX420, WorkForce 320/323/325) tiers mix cartridge by cartridge. On the NX330, NX430 and WorkForce 435 only 124 (and 126) cartridges belong in the machine.
What about the chip?
This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur; reseat the cartridge and restart, and if the message persists our lifetime warranty covers the cartridge. Keep fingers off the green chip.
Short code check: is this the "T1244"?
Yes — T1244 is Epson's shorthand for the T124420-S yellow (…1 black, …2 cyan, …3 magenta, …4 yellow). Same cartridge.
Do all four cartridges have to be replaced together?
No. This platform uses individual cartridges precisely so one color can be swapped alone. (The printer does need all four present and non-empty to print.)
How do I store the spare I bought?
Sealed, upright, room temperature, out of sunlight; once a cartridge is opened, Epson's guidance for this platform is to use it within about six months.
