Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the second cartridge in this 2-pack cost so much less than the first?

Look at the math: a single 593-BBKE is $31.17, but this 2-pack is $43.85 — the second cartridge adds only $12.68. That brings the per-cartridge price down to $21.93 and the cost per page to about 0.18 cents, a saving of $18.49 versus buying two singles separately. Pack pricing rewards buying ahead, and since these cartridges have a long shelf life, there is no penalty for keeping a spare on the shelf.

How many pages do I get from the two cartridges combined?

Each 593-BBKE is rated at 12,000 pages, so the pair gives you up to 24,000 pages of black printing in total. For an E310dw or E515dw in a busy office, that can easily be a year or more of everyday documents before you need to think about reordering.

Will both cartridges work in my printer?

Yes — both cartridges in this pack are the same 593-BBKE high-yield black cartridge, made for the Dell Laser E310dw, Laser E514dw, Multifunction E515dn and Multifunction E515dw. More compatible supplies for these models are listed on our Dell page.

Does toner go bad if the second cartridge sits in a drawer for months?

Sealed toner cartridges store well for a long time. Keep the spare in its packaging, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and it will be ready when the first cartridge runs out. There is no need to rotate stock or rush to use it.

Is this an original Dell product?

No, this is a compatible 2-pack from Clever Supplies, manufactured to the 593-BBKE specification. It is not Dell-branded, but it is designed to fit and perform like the original — and it is covered if anything goes wrong, as explained below.

What protection do I get with this purchase?

Both cartridges carry a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, as detailed on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California, whichever is closest to you, and our support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
