Frequently Asked Questions

How long will this cartridge keep a B1160 running?

Up to 1,500 pages at standard coverage. A Dell B1160 printing 100 pages a month will run about fifteen months on one; at 400 pages a month, expect a change every three to four months. Because the B1160 prints black only, that single figure covers everything the machine produces.

Is this the same cartridge as the one listed simply as "Dell 331-7335"?

Yes — identical cartridge, identical price of $32.76, identical 1,500-page rating. This listing names it by the printer model with the part number in brackets; the other names it by the part number first. Both routes lead to the same Dell 331-7335 cartridge in the same box.

Why show the part number in the listing name at all?

Because many offices order by part number, not by printer name — the code on the old cartridge's label is the one thing everyone can check before ordering. Listing it both ways means you can find the cartridge by whichever reference is in front of you: "B1160" or "331-7335".

Which printers does the 331-7335 serve?

The whole Dell B1160 series: B1160, B1160W, B1163, B1163W, B1165 and B1165NFW. One code and one cartridge across six mono models — if your office runs two different models from the series, a shared shelf stock works for both.

What does it cost per page?

About 2.18 cents per page bought as a single. That is the honest cost of a small cartridge; the same 331-7335 bought in the 5-pack works out at $17.97 per cartridge, or roughly 1.20 cents per page, if your volume justifies stocking ahead.

What cover comes with it?

A 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, support Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and dispatch from our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses. Full terms are on our shipping & returns page.
