Frequently Asked Questions
What does the fifth cartridge in this set get me?
A spare on the shelf. The set is built around the same four 7130 cartridges — 330-6135 black, 330-6138 cyan, 330-6141 magenta and 330-6139 yellow — with a fifth cartridge added, so when one position runs dry mid-job you are swapping from stock instead of waiting on a delivery. At $250.22 the set works out to roughly $50 a cartridge on average, a shade under the per-cartridge average of the 4-pack.
How far does a set like this actually go in a 7130?
The ratings are per cartridge class, not a single set total: the black 330-6135 is rated at 19,000 pages and each color (330-6138, 330-6141, 330-6139) at 20,000 pages. Unusually, the colors carry the higher rating — but since most offices print far more black than color, the black position is still normally the first to empty, which is exactly the gap the fifth cartridge covers.
Can I use cartridges from this set one at a time?
Yes. Nothing in the set has to be installed together. Each cartridge is sealed separately, so you can fit what the printer asks for today and hold the rest in reserve. Just store unopened cartridges flat, out of direct sunlight, and they will be ready when a position runs low.
What protection comes with a compatible set like this?
Every cartridge in the set — 330-6135, 330-6138, 330-6141 and 330-6139 alike — is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns; the full terms are on our shipping & returns page. These are compatible cartridges rather than Dell-branded ones, and that warranty is the commitment standing behind them.
How quickly can I get this set if a printer is already down?
We ship from four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California — and route your order to the closest one holding stock. For an urgent check on availability before you order, support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
Is the 5-pack a better buy than the 4-pack for a single printer?
For a single 7130 that prints daily, usually yes: the step up from the 4-pack is $46.35, which buys you the spare cartridge and removes the most common toner emergency — a dry black position with no replacement on hand. If your 7130 only prints occasionally, the 4-pack from our Dell toner selection is the more proportionate buy.
