Frequently Asked Questions

The magenta cartridge I removed from our 5110 is stamped 310-7893 — is this the same one?

Yes. The number in parentheses in this listing's title, 310-7893, is the Dell part number for the magenta cartridge in the Dell 5110. Matching the stamp on the cartridge you pulled out is the most dependable way to reorder — it avoids the confusion of similar model names and confirms you are buying magenta, not one of the other colors.

How many pages does this cartridge cover?

It is rated at up to 12,000 pages, measured at the standard 5% coverage the industry uses. A 5110 printing mostly documents with modest color accents will get close to that; photo-heavy and graphics-heavy jobs will use the magenta supply faster.

What does that work out to per page?

At $72.51 for up to 12,000 pages, magenta costs approximately 0.6 cents per page. For a shared 5110, that makes budgeting simple: track the color page count each month and your magenta spend follows predictably.

When should I put the next one on order?

Order when the printer first flags low magenta rather than after prints start fading. With up to 12,000 pages per cartridge, most 5110 owners only do this a few times a year, and keeping a single spare on hand means a faded presentation never becomes a stalled workday.

Is this an original Dell cartridge?

No, it is a compatible cartridge made to the 310-7893 specification for the Dell 5110, with comparable color output and yield. It is backed by a one-year warranty, and our shipping & returns policy includes one-year free returns.

Where does it ship from, and when is support available?

It ships from whichever of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses is nearest you. Support runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the rest of our Dell range is on the Dell toner page.
