Frequently Asked Questions

Our whole department shares one 5110 — how quickly will we go through 12,000 pages of magenta?

Faster than a single user would, but magenta is rarely the bottleneck. On a shared Dell 5110, black typically runs out first; this 310-7893 magenta cartridge's 12,000-page rating (at 5% coverage) usually covers many months of departmental color work. The exception is a team printing lots of full-color handouts and photos — dense pages draw magenta down quickly no matter who shares the printer.

What does magenta cost per page on this cartridge?

At $72.51 and up to 12,000 pages, the math lands at roughly 0.6 cents per page. For a department tracking print costs, that figure lets you put a real number on the color side of the shared printer's budget instead of treating toner as a surprise expense.

How do we avoid running dry mid-job?

Set a simple rule: whoever sees the low-magenta warning orders the replacement that day, and keep one spare 310-7893 on the shelf. Because each cartridge covers up to 12,000 pages, the spare turns over slowly — but the one time it saves a deadline, it has paid for the shelf space.

What are the early signs this cartridge is nearly empty?

Watch the colors, not the counter. Reds go pale, purples and oranges lose depth, and photo prints start looking cold while ordinary text stays sharp. That drift means the magenta is nearly spent; swap in the spare and reorder at the same time.

Is this a genuine Dell cartridge?

This is a compatible cartridge built to the 310-7893 specification, not a Dell original. It comes with a one-year warranty, and our shipping & returns policy provides one-year free returns if anything is not right.

Where will it ship from, and who can we call with questions?

Orders leave from the closest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses. Support is staffed Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and you can see the broader range on our Dell toner page.
