Frequently Asked Questions
Our purchasing system orders by part number — is 330-8985 the right code for this 5-pack?
Yes. This listing is the 5-pack of the 330-8985 black cartridge as fitted to the Dell 3333: five cartridges, each rated at up to 14,000 pages, for $465.22. Put 330-8985 on the purchase order and this pack is what the number resolves to — the same cartridge your stores list already carries as a single.
What does the pack price work out to per cartridge and per page?
$93.04 per cartridge, and about 0.66 cents per rated page across the pack's 70,000 pages. Against the $107.84 single-cartridge price, the pack saves $73.98 — the kind of difference that shows up clearly in a stores budget at year end.
Why does our stores department prefer one 5-pack line over five single lines?
Because it keeps the shelf and the paperwork simple: one line item, one delivery, five identical cartridges in one place. Goods-in checks one part number, the bin holds one product, and the reorder point is easy to set — when the bin is down to its last cartridge, the next 5-pack goes on order.
Are the cartridges in this pack the same as the (330-8985) single?
Identical. Each is the same compatible black cartridge with the same 14,000-page rating, made by a third-party manufacturer to the same specification rather than by Dell. The pack is a quantity and price arrangement, not a different product.
How should the pack be stored once it reaches the storeroom?
Sealed in its boxes, flat, in a cool dry place away from sunlight and heat. Toner cartridges store well under those conditions, and keeping the five together in one bin — used oldest first — avoids the classic problem of a stray box surfacing years later in a different cupboard.
What warranty and returns terms apply?
Each cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Full terms are on our shipping & returns page.
